At these times we had lived in a southern city in Hungary. My father’s dad, my grandfather was still with us, in this Earthly realm.
It was a beautiful day in August. My whole family got together and we got on the road to visit him in his house in a smaller town that wasn’t very far from where we had lived.
He was so happy to see us! We spent a beautiful and happy day with him. We would have loved to be with him some more but we saw that huge clouds started to gather on the afternoon sky. They had an extremely weird color to them that we’ve never seen before. They were the color orange. Seeing these clouds, it came into my parents’ mind that we hadn’t shut the windows and some of the doors were in positions as well, where they were shut but vertically open. If a heavier, stronger rain started to fall, it could have caused water damage inside.
We were back into our city and we could see how incredibly much rain has fallen by then. When we were a street away from our street, the road was completely under water. Our car was swimming in the water and I was wondering when I would see the water pouring into the car. German cars were pretty well made, so I didn’t have to experience that, luckily.
When we have reached the crossroad where we should have turned off onto our street, a huge fallen tree was blocking the entrance. On the right hand side, where the entrance of a huge, beautiful park was, there was snow on the grass. Not ice, not hail. White snow. Snow in August! Something I have never seen before in my life in the summer time. It was hard to believe. We had to drive around to get to the other opening of our street.
We had parked our car front of our garage and went to see the damages. It wasn’t that bad on the first and second floor but there was standing water on the very top level. The whole floor was under water. We had to work as fast as we could to get rid of the water and dry the hardwood flooring.
It was nighttime by the time we had finished it. My mom and my sister went downstairs to make some food. My dad and me were still up there cleaning and drying the floor, when my dad touched my shoulder and pointed at the night sky with his finger. “ Look!” -he said.
“What is that, dad?” – I asked him? It was a very mundane work, to put the ice cold, snowy water into buckets from the floor and then pour it out in the bathroom, and do it over and over and over again. My hands were frozen, my feet were wet. I didn’t count on anything special at this point. I was just happy that it was soon over and the floor didn’t get damaged, and that I could do it with my dad. We were working silently and fast. I was satisfied with the work we did with my dad.
I looked up at the sky and I could see that he pointed at a star that was much larger than the rest of them but it absolutely looked like a star. At this moment the star started to move and came closer to us. This move caught us by surprise. It was coming closer and closer, its shape started to round out until it started to look like a silver full moon.
It was very beautiful and mysterious. It was right above us on the sky, as if it was looking around and investigated things. It was evident that it wasn’t the moon. The moon doesn’t look like a star at one point and then come closer and closer, and it’s color is not metallic silver. The moon does not levitate on the sky. It didn’t give any sounds. It was completely silent.
Then my dad went downstairs to check out what was gonna be for dinner. He knew that I was super excited and interested in these kind of things. I was watching that thing without blinking. I was mesmerized. I wouldn’t have missed a moment of what was going to happen. There was no way that it was just gonna disappear suddenly because I take a break watching it.
I really wanted to take a picture of it but I didn’t want to leave it there and risk losing the sight of it. It has come a lot closer by that time. It didn’t have any windows or doors. At least, I didn’t see any with my naked eyes. It had a beautiful silver color, a very smooth surface, and it was big. It was very pleasant to look at.
It was still up higher in the sky but not too far. I can’t give any measurements on it, neither can about the exact distance from me. It was gently shining against the dark sky.
After a while, it ‘flew’ higher. Flying is not the right word. The right phrase would be: it jumped. It jumped, and then it looked like the moon again, a lot, lot higher in the sky. Where the moon could be. I knew that it was going to leave. I was sad. I wished that I could’ve taken a ride and see the stars.
It was hypersonically tearing into space to catch up with the rest of the stars! By now it looked like a star again and its size was a larger star and then a smaller and smaller star. Then it was gone. It has even left the stars behind. I just put hypersonically for speed because I have never seen anything fly so fast. I just don’t know how to express and explain the speed that I was witnessing.
I don’t even have to say how that thing fascinated me. It got my fantasy jumpstart like nothing else. I was thinking a lot about who’s flying saucer that could be. It was either alien. Or it was American. These were my two thoughts.
God bless everyone!
Adrienne
